He holds an Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) at the Vienna University of Economics and Business and the Carlson School of Minnesota, USA. He has over 15 years of experience in the Energy filed, and over 10 years of experience in the region. In addition, he is the President of the Foreign Investors Council, President of the Macedonian Energy Association in the Employers Organisation and serves as a board member of several Chambers of Commerce on state level. |

Joseph Mezlo Joseph Mezlo brings to this conference broad power sector experience. His experience in the power sector in the United States included responsibilities for marketing and economic development, customer service, distribution, and international business development functions. Joseph is also the founder of Rudis Group International (RGI), which is a training and consulting firm. RGI has completed leadership and change management training and provided consulting services to power sector companies in nineteen different countries. Joseph has recently participated in training workshops to support the United States Agency for International Development’s (USAID) Engendering Utilities Program which includes electric distribution companies from five different countries. |

Diana Gutierrez Diana Gutierrez has joined the UNDP’s Regional Hub for Latin America and the Caribbean as a Specialist in Women’s Economic Empowerment, Gender Equality, Labour and Private Sector. She received her M.D. from the University of Birmingham in England in Poverty Reduction and Development Management, she is also a specialist in International Cooperation and Development Projects Management and she is also a professional in Finances and International Relations. She has a decade of experience with the United Nations including the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Colombia as an inclusive economic development project manager, the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) as an expert in project formulation and finances in the design and implementation of the Colombia’s Food Security Observatory and the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), as an economic adviser for the M&E system of alternative development programs. She is passionate about finding innovative solutions to address poverty and inequality, focusing on economic development, private sector engagement, gender equality, financial inclusion, Corporate Social Responsibility CSR, shared value building, social and entrepreneurial innovation, as means to achieve human development with equality and opportunities for all. |

Hristina Spasevska Full professor at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technologies. Specialized in the field of Renewable Energy Sources and Energy Efficiency. President of the Engineering Institution of Macedonia, Director of the Centre for Solar technologies – SOLTEC, Member of the World Renewable Energy Congress, President of the Association of Physics Engineers of Republic of Macedonia, Member of the Metrology Council on National Bureau for Metrology, Fellow of the TRIL Programme on International Centre for Theoretical Physics in Trieste. Coordinator and participant in more than 15 R&D national and international projects in FP7, Horizon 2020, IPA, International Atomic Energy Agency, Central European Initiative, Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Macedonia. Co-author of more than 50 scientific papers. |

Bozana Markovska Bozana Markovska, graduated psychologist, licensed Gestalt psychotherapist, licensed for family therapy, Montessori teacher for preschool level. After finishing high school she continued her education at the Faculty of Philosophy in Skopje and she was in the first generation of graduated Psychologists. Later she worked as an industrial psychologist in the jewelry shop Rubin, but children were in her field of interest, not adults. Later she took a degree in Gestalt psychotherapy, which helps in developing the creative potential of personality, among other things, and it was crucial for her to open the first private kindergarten in Macedonia 25 years ago. In 1996, with the support of the National Opera of Italy, they were the first to start Montessori in Macedonia, as it was written in the newspaper VITA DELL INFANZIA. Numerous international contacts enabled her to develop in a successful Montessori educator, and their Montessori kindergarten Izvorce was declared a model of a preschool for Southeast Europe, for the Montessori century in 2007. For practical implementation of the Montessori pedagogy she has taught on 5 universities in 5 different countries. Now she is a wife, a mother of two daughters and a grandmother of three beautiful granddaughters. Montessori became a lifestyle for all of them. |

Daniela Kitanova Daniela Kitanova has 22 years’ experience in energy sector in Republic of Macedonia, particularly in the energy distribution sector. She is a graduated electrical engineer and from the beginning she has worked as Head of Automatic data processing Center in the subsidiary in her home town Strumica. Later she became a Director of the same subsidiary. From 2006 on she had been working as Coordinator of 8 subsidiaries in southeast Macedonia and she is actively involved in all processes of reorganization that followed the privatization of ESM and the arrival of EVN Austria. She returns to operations in 2009 as Head of Customer Center Gjorce Petrov, which is part of Skopje region. At the moment she works as Head of User Center Gevgelija, whose consumption is in the far south of the country to the border with Greece. Her responsibilities cover distribution operations that include personal collaboration and contacts with the end users in terms of ongoing concern, as well as joining new users. Her responsibilities also cover exploitation and maintenance of energy facilities located in this area. She has participated in a number of projects in different energy areas, before and after the privatization. |

Igor Gievski Member of the Management Board of EVN Macedonia, which is part of the Austrian EVN Group. Mr. Gievski is Doctor of Electrical Engineering from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technologies in Skopje, Macedonia. He has extensive experience in the Macedonian energy sector for the past 17 years, before, during and after the privatization of the former ESM. In the course of his career he has held several positions as an Adviser to the General Director, Head of Sector for Business development, Main HPP Engineer, continuing onwards to his current position in the Management Board. Mr. Gievski has authored many publications on topics of hydro power plants and energy efficiency, and he serves on the boards and is a member of a number of professional organizations and associations, such as the Economic Chamber of the Republic of Macedonia, MAKO CIGRE, ZEMAK, the General Assembly of the Standardization Institute of the Republic of Macedonia etc. |

Peter Canciani Peter Canciani, PhD, joined the Central European Initiative (CEI) in 2012 working primarily on topics related to the advancement of Bioeconomy and the promotion of Renewable Energy Sources in CEI member countries. In this framework, he coordinated CEI’s participation in several EU funded research projects, mainly contributing to policy-related activities and outreach to stakeholders from CEI the constituency. Before joining the CEI, Mr. Canciani accrued experience in the delivery of official development assistance and the implementation of donor-funded projects in the Russian Federation and Western Balkans. He is fluent in Slovene, Bosnian-Croatian-Serbian and Russian, as well as Italian and English. |

Reem Hamdan Eng. Reem Hamdan has around 25 years of experience in the electricity sector in Jordan, with the Electricity Distribution Company (EDCO). Her experience focuses on planning of electricity distribution, performance standards, energy efficiency, renewable energy, licensing and regulations. Eng. Reem has been appointed Deputy Director General since July 2015, and has been the Director General Assistant for Regulation and Planning at EDCO for the past 7 years and she is a member of the planning committee in the Arabic Union for electricity (AUE) since 2004 till now. Eng. Reem holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Jordan. She has received several certificates from international committees for her participation in workshops and seminars, and received an award for best applied research at the 15th GCC CIGRE Seminar for the paper “Privatization Impact on distribution activity in Jordan.”, She had been selected to represent Jordan in the science Hall of Fame for arabic women in science program that was launched by American Embassy in 2011.

Violeta Popova Violeta Popova is 22 years active in the electricity sector in Macedonia, being employed at ABB Macedonia at position of Representative Manager. She is holding a degree of Mechanical Engineer, by University St. Kiril and Metodij in Skopje. Her responsibilities are over all business divisions of ABB: power grids, process automation, electrification products and robotics &motion. During her career, Eng. Popova was actively involved in ABB’s operations in energy sectors in Macedonia and in Kosovo (2003-2006). She is member of Executive Comity of MakoCIGRE, and a member of the Swiss-Macedonian Business Club. |
